Move & Forget — App Terms of Use

These App Terms of Use govern access to and use of Move & Forget, including all related software, features, updates, and services made available in connection with the app.

By installing, downloading, or using the app, you agree to these App Terms of Use.

1. Scope and purpose

Move & Forget is a macOS application designed to help users transfer and organize media files from removable drives. The app is intended for personal and professional use on compatible macOS devices.

The app is not sold to you. A limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app is granted solely for your personal or internal business use, subject to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and that your use of the app complies with all applicable laws.

3. License

RockStarUI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on macOS devices you own or control, solely for your personal or business file management purposes.

You may not sublicense, redistribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app.

4. Installation and permissions

The app requires macOS 13 or later. To function correctly, the app will request access to specific folders and volumes you select. All folder access is handled via macOS security-scoped bookmarks and is limited to folders you explicitly choose.

5. User responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• maintaining adequate backups of your files before using Transfer (delete) mode,
• ensuring destination folders have sufficient storage before running transfers,
• verifying that the correct drives and folders are configured before starting a run,
• ensuring your use of the app complies with applicable copyright, privacy, and data protection laws.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the app to transfer, store, or process files that violate applicable law, third-party intellectual property rights, or platform terms of any service you use in your workflow.

7. App functionality and availability

The app is provided on an as-available basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We are not liable for any unavailability of the app.

8. No promise of results

The app uses checksum verification to confirm file integrity after transfer. However, we make no guarantee that all files will transfer without error in all hardware and operating system configurations. Always maintain independent backups of critical files.

9. Fees and billing

Subscription fees, billing cycles, and refund policies are governed by the applicable payment provider (Stripe or Gumroad) and the pricing terms communicated at checkout.

All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. RockStarUI does not store payment card data.

10. Data use and privacy

Your use of the app is subject to the Move & Forget Privacy Policy. The app processes files locally on your device. No file content is transmitted to RockStarUI servers.

11. Data processed locally

Move & Forget is a local macOS application. File transfers, checksum verification, and log generation all occur entirely on your device. No file content, metadata, or transfer results are sent to external servers.

Settings and preferences are stored in macOS UserDefaults on your local device only.

12. Support

Support is available via rockstarui.com/contact. Response times are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to discontinue support for older versions of the app.

13. Intellectual property

Move & Forget, the RockStarUI name, and all associated logos, designs, and software are the intellectual property of RockStarUI. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

14. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit about the app may be used by RockStarUI without obligation or compensation to you.

15. Beta features

Features marked as beta or experimental are provided without warranty. They may be changed or removed at any time.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RockStarUI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to data loss, arising from your use of the app.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold RockStarUI harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app in violation of these terms or applicable law.

19. Termination

RockStarUI may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the app.

20. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the app or RockStarUI website.

21. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

22. Entire agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RockStarUI regarding your use of Move & Forget.
