Publish to Your Store
What this section does
Section titled “What this section does”Saving a look makes its latest content available to the storefront block. You then add that block to the page or template where shoppers should see it.
Prepare the look
Section titled “Prepare the look”Before publishing, confirm that the look shows Ready to publish and that:
- The title and featured image are final.
- Every product uses the intended variant.
- Every product has a hotspot.
- Product order, display text, and prices are correct.
- The chosen template works on desktop and mobile.
- The intended style profile is active or selected.
Select Update look before opening the theme editor.
Add the block in Shopify
Section titled “Add the block in Shopify”- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store -> Themes.
- Select Customize for the theme you want to edit.
- Open the page or template where the look should appear.
- Add the Get the Look app block.
- Enter or select the same Look ID shown in the app.
- Position the block in the page layout.
- Review the desktop and mobile previews.
- Save the theme.
Update a published look
Section titled “Update a published look”- Return to Get the Look.
- Open the existing look from All looks.
- Make the changes.
- Select Update look.
- Check the storefront again.
You do not need to add the block again when the Look ID stays the same.
Publish checklist
Section titled “Publish checklist”- Confirm the correct Look ID is selected in the app block.
- Open every product from the storefront block.
- Test individual product actions and the main add-all action.
- Confirm unavailable variants are not presented as purchasable.
- Check the layout on a phone-sized preview.
- Confirm discounts behave as expected in the cart.
- Save the theme and view the live page.
- Add the block to a duplicate theme first when you are changing a busy live page.
- Keep the app open in one tab and the theme editor in another while reviewing changes.
- If you duplicate a look, add the new Look ID to a separate block before removing the original.
Why does the storefront show an older version of the look?
Section titled “Why does the storefront show an older version of the look?”Return to the app and make sure you selected Update look after the latest change. Then refresh the theme preview.
Why is the block empty?
Section titled “Why is the block empty?”Check that the block uses the exact Look ID shown in All looks and that the look has been saved.
Can I show the same look on more than one page?
Section titled “Can I show the same look on more than one page?”Yes. Add a Get the Look block to each page or template and use the same Look ID.
