What this section does
Section titled “What this section does”This guide explains what to prepare and gives you the shortest path from an empty app to a saved look that is ready for your storefront.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Have these items ready:
- At least one active product with an available variant.
- A featured image that shows the products together.
- A theme that supports app blocks.
- Optional active discount codes if you want product-specific promotions.
Create your first look
Section titled “Create your first look”- Open Get the Look in Shopify admin.
- Select All looks.
- Select Create look.
- In Look settings, add a clear title and choose a featured image.
- Open Template and choose a layout.
- Open Products and add the products shown in the image.
- Place a hotspot for every product.
- Review the live preview.
- Select Update look to save your changes.
Understand the main areas
Section titled “Understand the main areas”- Home gives you a quick view of recent looks, setup health, and your active global style.
- All looks is where you create, search, edit, duplicate, and delete looks.
- Global styles controls the shared visual treatment used by your storefront blocks.
- Analytics shows configuration coverage and readiness across your looks.
- Look settings, Template, Products, and Analytics are the editing tabs inside a look.
Know when a look is ready
Section titled “Know when a look is ready”A look shows Ready to publish when it has:
- A title.
- A featured image.
- A hotspot for every product.
- Valid sale price entries.
If the look is still marked Draft, complete the missing item before publishing.
- Start with two or three products so hotspot placement stays easy to review.
- Use a high-quality image with enough open space around each featured product.
- Keep the Look ID stable after the look has been added to your theme.
Do I need a discount code?
Section titled “Do I need a discount code?”No. Discount codes are optional and can be selected per product.
Can I change the template later?
Section titled “Can I change the template later?”Yes. Your products and look settings remain in place when you switch templates.
Why is Update look disabled?
Section titled “Why is Update look disabled?”The button is disabled when there are no unsaved changes. Change a setting and it becomes available again.
