Global Styles

Global styles controls the shared visual language of your Get the Look blocks. A style profile can define colors, typography, layout density, borders, shadows, and button treatment.

  1. Open Global styles.
  2. Select Create style, or select Edit beside an existing style.
  3. Give the style a clear name.
  4. Open Presets.
  5. Select the preset closest to your store design.
  6. Review the live preview.
  7. Select Save style or Save & activate.

Choosing a preset updates the visual settings but keeps your style name.

Open Style to adjust the main groups:

  • Colors: Background, text, border, focus, and action colors.
  • Buttons: Filled, outline, or text treatment; size; spacing; border; and corner style.
  • Typography: Font choices and text scale.
  • Layout: Spacing, density, width, and alignment.
  • Borders & Shadows: Surface edges, corner radius, and depth.

Use the live preview after each group rather than changing every setting at once.

  • Activate makes a style the live shared style.
  • Preview lets you review a style without activating it.
  • Edit opens its settings.
  • Duplicate creates a safe copy for experimentation.
  • Delete removes a style you no longer need.

Only one global style is active at a time.

  • Start with Your theme when you want the block to feel native to your store.
  • Duplicate the active style before a major redesign so you can compare both versions.
  • Resolve contrast warnings before activation to keep text and buttons readable.
  • Keep one naming pattern, such as “Store default,” “Seasonal dark,” and “Campaign light.”

Does editing a style immediately change the storefront?

Section titled “Does editing a style immediately change the storefront?”

Only when you save changes to the active style or activate another style. Draft styles can be previewed safely.

One or more text and background color combinations may be difficult to read. Open the style and adjust the highlighted colors before activation.

The look editor can select a saved style profile. Keep the active global style as the store-wide default and use additional profiles only when a campaign needs a deliberate variation.
